2017 is here!

Well, I haven't been to this blog for two years.   Partly because of little access to computers and also because I've been a little busy.  Things have slowed down a bit.  Mostly because my church calling has changed and my kids are getting older and much more independent.

Since my last entry, of course, much has occurred.  Luckily, I have kept a record in other ways. One being a photo book that I just finished putting together for the year 2015.   I am really happy to have found this blog as some of the pictures I have place in this blog could have have been lost.   A couple of years ago, Dave dropped a storage drive which contained many pictures so we thought that many were lost.  Now we know that we have the pictures that have been posted on this blog.  Hooray!!

Tonight, Dave and the boys are at Badger Creek.  Dave currently serves as scoutmaster in our ward.  That gets him a guaranteed ticket to all of the mutual activities.  I am here alone trying to keep productive.  It helps to have this nice new computer.

Today, I accompanied three BYU-I students at the Tuesday masterclass.  My accompanying load over the past few years has increased significantly.  This keeps my skills fine tuned and I'm probably a better musician then I was as a college student.    I played the Bruch "Romanze" for a violist, the Brahms Sonata in G (1st mvt.) for a violinist and a contemporary piece for a bass player.  My favorite was definitely the Brahms.

This day the LDS church announced the beginnings of the BYU Pathways Worldwide Program.  It is evidence of the growth of this church and it's mission to assist it's members and non-members alike to have great opportunities.  BYU-I lost it's president, Clark Gilbert.  He only served for two years.  He has been asked to be president of the new Pathways Program.  Henry Eyring, the son of Pres. Eyring, has been asked to serve as the new president.

I am truly excited to begin documenting again.

For the New Year, we were finally all together again.  Kirsten was visiting from DC and Catherine had returned from China.  We met in Logan to visit our grandparents.  We all went to the local ice skating rink with Matt, JoBecka, Harper, Hank and Mark.
