Unfortunate Events in Logan

We have had a lot of snow this winter.  So much the bushes in our front yard have been completely covered with snow.  In Logan, rain has been pouring for several days.  Snow melt combined with this rain has resulted in widespread flooding throughout Cache Valley.  Sadly, my parents basement has a couple of inches of water throughout.  The groundwater is so high that it is seeping through the foundation.  It is hard to see my parents have  this difficulty right before they leave for their six month mission to Nauvoo.  Hopefully, we will be able to help them get things in order before they leave.  Scott drove to Logan from Kaysville to be of assistance. I'm thankful he was able to be there with three of his kids, Kent, Clara and Bennett.  They moved furniture upstairs and also shoveled snow off the carport.  Now, my parents just have to wait for the flooding water to subside.
Kent and Bennett shovel the roof.

The water is shown coming through the carpet.
The living room crammed with furniture from the basement.

Footprints show the water beneath the carpet.

Bennett operates the pump.
