Mill Hollow Youth Activity

This past week we had an etiquette dinner in mutual.
It was a lot of fun and the youth learned many helpful
tips about good manners.  The gym was decorated with
black balloons and black tablecloths with low lights and classical music.  The YM partnered with the YW and
learned a lot about being gentleman and the ladies learned
how to be more gracious. Spencer learned that you shouldn't
blow on the bowl rather blow on the soup spoon.  Catherine learned it's okay to be friendly with young men;)

During the upcoming week we are traveling to SLC with the high school choir to enjoy the lights on temple square and to enjoy their performances of Christmas music in various spots on the square.  It is a highlight of the season for our family.

Well, today in YW we talked about hastening the work.
I gave them a list of 9 things to accomplish in two weeks
that will allow them to be helping hands in Heavenly Father's kingdom.  We will report bak in two weeks.  Thank-you for
your helping hands and the big effort you are making in "hastening the Lord's work."

Thanksgiving Post

As I look back on our week of Thanksgiving, I am extremely grateful for all that Heavenly Father has given to us.  This year we remained in Rexburg so that we could work on our basement.  We were able to prepare the trim to be painted and also paint the trim with primer.  We are one step closer:)

One thanksgiving tradition in our family is to to circle the table before the feast and mention something we are thankful for.  It is always interesting to hear what is on the minds of family members.  Matthew was thankful for soccer.  Spencer chose family and friends.  Catherine spoke of family scripture study in the morning. Sarah chose modern medicine.  Kirsten was grateful for new friendships formed this year. Camille mentioned Jonathan and family. (A young man she brought along.) Jonathan reciprocated and said Camille and also physical health.  I chose the very generous donations and service which have been shared with our family over this past year especially to help with the reconstruction of our basement.  Dave also spoke of the same.   We have been shown how much people love and care for others in need and have been motivated to follow the example given and seek for ways we can help others.
